1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and CPIQ, LLC ("CPiQ," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the CPiQ website and application, available at cpiq.ai (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What CPiQ Is — and Is Not
CPiQ is a paid software tool for separated and divorcing co-parents. It includes a Message Analyzer and Composer/Rewriter that use artificial intelligence to score and suggest edits to co-parenting messages, a Communication Log, and a co-parenting coaching curriculum with a certificate of completion. CPiQ’s curriculum is informed by Texas parenting-facilitation methods, but is a coaching product, not a substitute for parenting facilitation, and is not represented as satisfying any court-ordered or statutory educational requirement.
CPiQ is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or representation. Using the Service — including where a judge, attorney, or parenting facilitator recommended it — does not create an attorney-client relationship with CPiQ or anyone associated with it. CPiQ is not a mental health service and is not a substitute for professional legal, medical, or mental-health advice. If you need advice about your specific situation, consult a licensed professional.
CPiQ is not designed for emergencies. If you or a child is in immediate danger, contact 911 or emergency services directly — do not rely on CPiQ.
CPiQ is not an appropriate tool where family violence is alleged in your case; parenting-facilitation methods, which CPiQ’s curriculum draws on, are generally not used in those circumstances. If family violence is part of your situation, talk to your attorney about resources suited to it.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter a binding contract to use CPiQ. The Service is intended for parents, guardians, and the professionals who work with them — it is not directed at children, and children may not create accounts.
You're responsible for your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@cpiq.ai if you suspect unauthorized use.
4. Subscription, Billing, and Automatic Renewal
CPiQ is a paid subscription that automatically renews until you cancel:
- •An initial charge of $99, covering your first three (3) months of access.
- •After that, your subscription automatically renews at $33 per month, charged to the same payment method, until you cancel.
Prices are in U.S. dollars. We’ll give you at least 30 days’ advance notice by email before any price change takes effect, and a change never applies to a period you’ve already paid for. Payments are processed by Stripe; CPiQ does not receive or store your full card number.
You can cancel automatic renewal at any time from your Account page. Cancellation stops future charges but does not refund the current billing period — see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- •Use the Service to harass, threaten, defame, or endanger a co-parent, child, or anyone else.
- •Upload content you don’t have the right to share, or that violates a court order or another person’s legal rights.
- •Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service, or use it to build a competing product.
- •Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person.
- •Use a CPiQ certificate or report to mislead a court, opposing party, or other third party about what it is.
6. Your Content and the Communication Log
You retain ownership of the messages, drafts, and Communication Log entries you submit ("Your Content"). You grant CPiQ a limited license to process, store, and transmit Your Content — including to the service providers described in our Privacy Policy — solely to provide the Service to you.
The Communication Log is a personal record you keep in CPiQ. It is not a confidential or privileged communication under any parenting-facilitation, mediation, or other professional engagement you may separately be part of, and CPiQ makes no representation about how a court or facilitator will treat it. If confidentiality matters to you in that separate engagement, ask the professional running it how CPiQ fits, if at all.
Because Your Content will often include information about your children and family circumstances, avoid entering more than you need for the message or log entry at hand — for example, full financial account numbers or Social Security numbers.
7. AI-Generated Content
CPiQ’s Message Analyzer, Composer/Rewriter, and lesson narration use artificial intelligence, including third-party AI providers. AI-generated scores, analysis, and suggested rewrites are for your consideration only — they may be inaccurate or unsuited to your situation, and CPiQ does not guarantee any particular outcome, tone, or legal effect. You are solely responsible for deciding whether to send any message, however it was drafted or edited.
8. Certificates and Curriculum Completion
CPiQ may issue a certificate when you complete its coaching curriculum. That certificate documents completion of CPiQ’s own coursework — it is not issued by a court, and CPiQ makes no representation about whether a court, attorney, or facilitator will accept it or give it any particular weight. Anything a court or facilitator separately requires of you controls over anything CPiQ says about its own certificate.
9. Referrals by Professionals
CPiQ is sometimes recommended by attorneys, parenting facilitators, or other professionals. A professional who recommends CPiQ to you may have a financial or business relationship with CPiQ. No professional may require you to use CPiQ as a condition of working with them, and recommending CPiQ does not change that professional’s independent duties to you.
10. Intellectual Property
The Service — including its curriculum, software, design, and the CPiQ name and logo — is owned by CPIQ, LLC and its licensors. Except for the limited right to use the Service as intended, we grant you no rights in our intellectual property.
11. Third-Party Services
CPiQ relies on third-party providers to operate, including for payments, hosting, database and authentication, and AI processing. See our Privacy Policy for the current list of who we work with and why.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CPIQ, LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) $100. THIS LIMIT DOES NOT APPLY TO DAMAGES CAUSED BY OUR GROSS NEGLIGENCE, WILLFUL MISCONDUCT, OR FRAUD.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold CPIQ, LLC harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
15. Termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or if required by law.
16. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas, and you consent to that venue.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll provide reasonable notice before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
